COR Outing 2 | MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

COR'17 XMAS OUTING

A yearly affair, COR held this year's Christmas party on the 18th of December!

This time, the outing was held at Savannah Condo, a secluded but serene estate; exactly the right atmosphere for a festive Xmas!

The COR members were really excited to be able to meet up with our Deafies again since the last outing!!

Deco Team otw!!

While the food team were preparing delicious dinner at Erwin’s home, the advance team, aka the Deco Team, made our way to the function room! We were definitely mesmerised by the surrealism Savannah Condo provided as we made our way to the function room!!

Under the supervision of CGLs Pei Ning and Bernie, our Deco team were working hard to make the function room burst with festive spirits!!

Meanwhile, COR’s FOOD TEAM was also hard at work making delicious food for the dinner later!

Xmas DECO!!

Look at these decorations provided by CGL, Pei Ning!! Indeed, she’s living up to the reputation of NTU’s ADM (Art, Design Media)! #DecoGameSTRONG

Photobooth finally done with precision measurements to make sure that the ALL deco are straight!

PnP Shawn and V-Chair Eeva casually posing for the photobooth! Lookin good eh!

At the same time, the Welcome Team were making their way together with our Deafies from Pasir Ris MRT!

Soon, everyone arrived at the function room and CGLs, along with the other COR members,

began giving out door gifts and labelling gift-exchange presents with their respective numbers!

Everyone is really feeling the joyous and festive spirits.

Of course, everyone could not wait to dine in and savour the delicious dinner cooked by our Food Team!!

Sumptuous Food cooked by our very own!

Indeed our COR Food Team did not disappoint!! Sumptuous, steaming, delicious dinner arrived just in time for everyone to feast in!

The Food Team hopes the food suited everyone’s taste buds that night!!

Sadrina is blown away

Because for the COR members, it sure did! Look at how blown away our Chairperson Sadrina was over the food!!

Part of the food team, CGL Erwin was pictured here graciously asking our participants whether food was good!

It was definitely better than an order-in buffet!!

Santa definitely came this year!! Look at the mountain of gift-exchange presents!!

Soon, after filling our stomachs, everyone started mingling and signing Deaf and Hearing alike!

This time, although there was an initial divide between our members and the Deafies,

COR members did put in the effort to step out of their comfort zone and interact with all our participants!

Indeed, an improvement from the 1st outing!! Good job COR!!

Next, we had to gather and proceed to the next part of the night!

We started off with a round of self-introduction, before the games planned by our beloved CGLs!!

CGLs Erwin, Bernie, Dave and Pei Ning briefing the next part of the activities!

A round of self-introduction, with name and sign-names!

It was really interesting to learn about the origins of different sign names,

some could be related to one’s personal traits while another could be related to one’s interest!

Next, we were split into different groups by the CGLs and look at the mess while trying to find our won team members!

CGL Dave explaining the game we were going to play, which was the game of Charades!

In which one person from a team has to go up to describe the prompt by CGLs with actions

and the first team to get the right finger-spelling gets a point!

The competition got very much heated with everyone eager to get a point for their team, at the end of the day, everyone had lots of fun!

Last but not least, GIFT EXCHANGE!!! Everyone was so excited to pick a number and unwrap their Christmas presents!! Hopefully, no TROLL GIFTS!!!

Some of us were triumphant while others weren’t as victorious… Still, everyone is appreciative of the effort put in especially into a troll gift!!

Before we even knew, it was already time for us to clear the function room…

Personally, I had a lot of fun interacting with everyone and was totally feeling the festive Christmas spirit!

Tons of thanks to all participants for making the time and effort to join us in this celebration

and also to all COR members who helped make Xmas party happen!!

COR’17 Xmas Celebration SUCCESS!!!
